FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions about Eyelash Extensions!

1. How long do the Eyelash Extensions last for?

The life cycle for our natural eyelashes is between 60-90 days, at any given time, your natural eyelashes are at different stages of growth. As an eyelash completes its life-cycle and falls off, so does the semi-permanent eyelash extensions (which creates small gaps between the eyelash extensions). We recommend clients getting refills done every 3-4 weeks. This is to keep the eyelashes looking full and luscious, as we need to replace the areas where new natural eyelashes are coming through.

2. How do the Eyelash Extensions feel?

The Eyelash Extensions feel very light and soft. Many clients comment "they can't feel them at all". They are not at all heavy, so you may forget they are there at all!

3. Can I still wear make-up with Eyelash Extensions?

There is no problem wearing make-up with your eyelash extensions! However, you can not use water proof mascara on the extensions, and avoid any oil based products (oils will dissolve the bonding agent). Eyelash curlers are also not allowed with the eyelash extensions, as this will detach the extensions from the natural lash. Also remember to be careful and gentle when applying make-up, as the less touching of the extensions, the longer they will last. Many clients find they don't need to wear much make-up after having the eyelash extensions, as they add a lot to the face by themselves!!

4. Can I wear contacts while I have Extensions?

Yes. It is completely safe to wear contacts with the eyelash extensions. Although some people prefer not to wear contacts while having the procedure done, as they can become irritated when having your eyes closed for an hour. it is up to the individual though.

5. How do I take care of them?

Be gentle with the eyelash extensions, and just be mindful that they are there. It is important to get them wet daily when you have a shower, just 30 seconds under warm water will help keep them looking good. You can also use a clean mascara brush, to brush the extensions up (when wet) to help keep the eyelash extensions straight. It is also important to wash your eyelash extensions with a soapy based cleanser 2-3 times a week to help keep them cleansed and free from everyday grime and bacteria.

6. Can I swim/ use spas, shower, go to the gym with eyelash extensions?

Of Course!! These are some of the best benefits of having eyelash extensions! you no longer have to worry about mascara running down your face while having a workout or a good swim! Enjoy showers and spas at any time! Your eyelash extensions are most suited for all environments!

7. Are eyelash Extensions safe?

Yes. The bonding agent is the most important component to applying eyelash extensions due to health risks, as well as its impact on longevity of the eyelash extensions.

Currently the FDA does not regulate the practice of Eyelash Extensions bacause the extensions are applied to the natural lash and do not make contact with the clients skin. However, great care must be taken when working so close to the clients eyes. Please ensure to only see a trained professional!

Safety of our clients is a first priority. We have safety standards in place which are followed at all times and reviewed regularly.

- Careful selection of bonding agent, and always being aware of new and improved products available.

- Sterilising equipment before and after each treatment.

- Protecting eye area prior to commencement with a special eye-pad (anti-wrinkle eye-pad treatments available upon request).

- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.

- Getting each client to complete a health assessment form.
